Biography: First World War Soldier. 'No. 26889. Lance Corporal. 16, King's Liverpool Regiment. Joined from Isle of Man Volunteers at Wesleyan Hall, Hoylake. Reported May 24. At Rhyl June 21. December 14 Corporal A. Co. No.7 Camp, Preesheath, Whitchurch, Shropshire. Family moved to Windsor Road. Said to be Severely wounded May 1916. Moved away November 1916. Living at 2 Rosemount July 1917. In Douglas Hospital August 1917 totally paralysed from waist down. Discharged. Died February 21 1918.'
