His Red Cross information bureau number was 92530A. Egon Robert Friedman with date of birth 18/12/80 appears first on an Alexandra Palace list (arrived there 12/3/17). Egon Robert Friedman applied for and received British nationality on 15 March 1923 (HO 144/1945) he was resident in London and stated his country of origin as Czechoslovakia. In the London Gazette of 26 May 1939 Egon Robert Friedman of the Old Bakehouse, Charlwood, Surrey changed his name legally to Egon Robert Freeman. He appears on the 1939 Register at this address, giving his occupation as Paper Agent and date of birth 18 December 1880. He was living with his wife Nora K.Freeman. They had a cook living at the address. He appears four times in the 1950s on passenger lists travelling to the West Indies (often First Class), and once to New York. By this point his gave his occupation as Paper Manufacturer. He died in London in 1960.
