Scope & Content: Ronaldsway House had important connections with the Manx martyr Illiam Dhone and the Christian family. The house was demolished in 1940.

It was on the land belonging to this farm that the Island's airport was established. During the Second World War further land was taken over to create a large airport for the Fleet Airarm. After the war the Manx Government decided to create a commercial airport using the runway system that existed. Tom Kennaugh was chosen as architect following his experience during the war of airfields with the Royal Engineers in India.
