Biography: Otto Trier was from Darmstadt in Germany. Before the First World War he was a businessman, based in London. He was the representative of a firm called Bragosef Ltd, with offices at 110 Cannon Street, EC4. Upon the outbreak of war, Germans living in Britain were considered to be a threat to security and were arrested. Most were later interned for the duration of the war. Trier arrived at Knockaloe in May 1915, and was repatriated to Germany in 1919. (Image ref: PG/7615/1).
