Biography: Extract from an undated newspaper: 'There has just died at Andreas, a parish in the North of the Isle of Man, an old Manxman named John Corlett, who could remember living under five English monarchs. He used to say he remembered being Baptised ninety two years ago when he was a few years old. It was his custom until three years ago to frequently walk to Douglas and back in one day, a distance of over thirty miles!
