Police Permit to proceed out of Rushen Internment Camp under escort for the purpose of appearing before the Home Office Advisory Committee at the Court House, Douglas, at 9.45 a.m. on Friday 28th March 1941. (Box IOMC Movement Permits) - 27.6.41 Leaving Isle of Man for Riseley, Church Street, Littlehampton, W. Sussex prior to joining A.T.S. at Reception Depot, Lancaster on 4.7.41.

Attached to Registration card are 2 letters. - 1st dated 3.7.41 from Chief Constable of West Sussex R.P. Wilson to The Chief Constable of Isle of Man. "I have to inform you that the above named alien called at Littlehampton Police Station on the 28th unltimo and produced her Registration Certificate which was endorsed by your C.I.D. (Aliens Department) as follows" Leaving IoM details as above. "As the whole of this County is situated within the Southern Protected Area I shall be glad if you will advise me whether or not this alien had the permission of the Secretary of State to enter the Area. I would add that notification of her release from internment has not been received at this office." -

2nd dated 8.7.41 from Chief Constable Isle of Man (Major) to The Chief Constable West Sussex Constabulary. "With reference to your letter of the 3rd. instant respecting the above named person, I have to inform you that this woman enlisted in the A.T.S. prior to her departure from the Internment Camp and her visit to Littlehampton was for the purpose of spending 7 days leave, before joining her Unit at the Reception Depot, Lancaster, on the 4th. July, 1941. On leaving the Isle of Man, Pokorny was in possession of the necessary documents establishing the fact that she had joined H.M. Forces, and being in possession of such documents, she could no longer be considered an alien (Aliens Order, 1920, Sec. 22 Sub-sec 2)(Aliens Act, Isle of Man 1921, Sec. 16 Sub-sec.2).".
