Biography: Upper Camp. Winner of a 50m race. Came 3rd in a shot-putt competition with 10m 40cm. Competed in several sporting events. Took part in a triple event (100 m run, long jump & shot-put) at a sports festival that took place at Douglas Camp 2.9.1916 & 4.9.1916 and won in the A class. Also ran in the 400m 'record' race and was a member of the Upper camp 1000m relay team (in blue). Also was a member of 1600m relay team (in green) trying to break the camp record of 4min 15 1/5 sec. time recorded 4mins 15 1/5 sec. Won race 2, round 1, came 2nd in race 2, round 2 and came 4th in the final of a 100m race held 29.7.1918 (Camp not named). etc.

Named in a program for a Sports Festival held at Douglas Camp on 20.7.1916 as a competitor in the shot-putting competition. Named in a program for a Sports Festival held at Douglas Camp on 20.7.1916 as one of the competitors in the 100m heats, as a member of one of the Upper Camp Relay teams (in red) and a competitor in the discus competition. Named in a program for a Sports Festival held at Douglas Camp on 8.6.1916 as one of the competitors in the 50m invitation race. He was also a member of two of the Upper Camp relay teams (in red). Took part in a timed 'pair' running event at Douglas Camp (possibly on 29.6.?). His partner was Ch. Stahl and they wore white & red. Transferred to Ripon 7.3.1919. Douglas Camp internee number: 360.
