Biography: Charles McHarrie was employed before the First World War by C. Teare (Blacksmith). He was killed in action in France on 17 January 1917, and at the time of his death he was serving with the 1st battalion King's Liverpool Regiment. He is buried in Pozieres British Cemetery, on the former Somme battlefield. (Image ref: PG/13743/23).
