Biography: Son of Robert Christian of Lewaige, Father of Alice Christian, a great great niece of Illiam Dhone. Appointed by the House of Keys with John Stevenson of Balladoole to arrange with James 10th Earl of Derby for the settlement of a dispute. Embodied in the 'Act of Settlement' 1703, which is now called the Manx Magna Charta. Bishop Wilson was a devoted friend, preached at his funeral (A.W. Moore, Manx Wothies (1909) page 71)
