Scope & Content: The float pictured is entitled 'The fishing'. The cart has a lighthouse with fish weathervanes on top, a shield bearing anchor, fishing net set over a sheet around the side and children seated in a rowing boat turned into a sailing ship. The ship's sail appears connected to this friendly socieity's diamond jubilee.

The Loyal Good Anchorage Lodge of Oddfellows was established in Ramsey in May 1839; a juvenile branch was founded in Ramsey in 1893.
