Douglas market place
Date(s): 1896
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Lady on extreme left - Miss Christian - who as Mrs Corlett kept ol Christian's huckster's shop next to entrance to Thornhill in Big Well Street, until evicted in 1930 prior to demolition of her house for the construction of flats. This would be taken by me about 1896. The lassie in the white blouse is unconsciously betraying the secret entrance to her 'pocket'. Env IV, 11'.
