Scope & Content: Brother of James Glencairn (Glen) Halliday, Bernard's parents were James and Emily Elizabeth Airey, niece of General Farrant. Bernard is listed on the Lezayre Parish Roll of Honour (Isle of Man Examiner, 9 November 1934, p.4) and was reported to be injured whilst serving with the Canadian Auxiliary Mounted Police. Apparently he worked in farming in Ontario and was well known as a footballer (Ramsey Courier, 15 September 1911, p.3).
