Scope & Content: Recorded in Douglas when Tom Karren was aged 78. He talks about being born and raised in Cregneash before moving to Port Erin when he was married; how he learned Manx when very young, his mother and father speaking Manx; how he went to the fishing in Scotland and Ireland; what they earned at the fishing; working on boats the 'Sylph' and 'Excelsior'; and other memories from his life including the White Boys.
