Workmen demolishing wall, New Bond Street, Douglas
Date(s): 1932-1934
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: 'On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Removal of no.19 New Bond Street gave, for the first time, a rear view of Spittal's house in Seneschal Lane (though for years considered to be in St. Barnabas' Square), and the Spitall's Court at the rear of it. The disappearance of the east end of Almshouse Lane, as well as 19 New Bond Street, opened up this novel vista. [Inside folder, bottom edge centre, S. Court. Centre right, Spittal's N. Bottom right, 21]'.
