A group in front of the Beresford private hotel on Queen's Promenade, Douglas
Date(s): c.1940s/1950s
Place made: Queen's Promenade (Douglas)
Scope & Content: The group consists of 5 men and 1 woman; the man left-hand side as facing wearing hat, smoking and holding can of Castrol is purported to be Harry Buxton, Castrol agent in the Isle of Man. It would appear that these people are somehow involved with the TT or Man Grand Prix races. See article on p. 24 of 'Isle of Man Examiner', Tuesday 3 June 2008 and the response in subsequent newspaper.
