Scope & Content: 1947 Manx Air Derby and Tynwald Air Races at Ronaldsway Airport, the first to be held since 1939 and the Second World War. 1947 turned out to be the last year the Races took place until 1965 when the event resumed at the Jurby Aerodrome.

Motorbike racing and the 1947 Douglas Car Races, first held in 1933. The 1947 Manx Grand Prix. Parts of the course, including Douglas School for Boys (later St Ninian's School) and Bray Hill.
