Scope & Content: Villa Marina's gardens in summer with brightly coloured flowers and people in deckchairs enjoying the sun.
An extension to Loch Promenade in Douglas was added in the 1930s which included the Marina Gardens, often referred to as the 'Sunken Gardens'. The gardens have a vast amount of flowers, some arranged into the Three Legs of Man.
Completed in 1913, the Villa Marina opened as an entertainment venue adjoined to public gardens.
