Cain's window, New Bond Street, Douglas
Date(s): 1932-1934
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Again Cain's quaint window in the Georgian style of early last century. I have taken photographs of it many times from 1897, when New Bond Street wore a very different aspect. Most of recent film attempts have proved dull and uninteresting. The day this was taken was dull, as I stood looking at the window, the sun shone out long enough to secure this gleam of sunshine on the old panes. This quaint bit of the old town is now only a memory'. Additional note: '4 New Bond Street, Cain's. See RII/9 in sepia'.
