Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Mid-winter. Nos. 5 & 6 Fairy Ground gone. The rubble indicates the space they occupied. The south side of Durie Lane beyond. L is the large back area of the old Hare and Hounds Inn 57 North Quay and R is the rear portion of the Lancashire Inn, also on the Quay; in my earlier days always referred to as Toplis's.'
