New Bond St, with the old Grammar School on left, Douglas
Date(s): 1932-1934
Creator(s): Frowde, John James
Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, 'Sunshine and shadow in New Bond St, with the old Grammar School on left and the King Orry Inn seen beyond. This was one of the most alluring vistas in the old street especially while the old Step Down Inn was in evidence. I have a number of plates taken by myself between 1897 and 1900 from which I hope to furnish a final section of this series. The Step Down Inn is one of the items'. Additional notes: 'see next print. Later; I find that only two of these belong to this area, and both are put into this section. See also S V/3'.
