Scope & Content: On the back of this photograph Frowde writes, '24, 22 & 20 New Bond St. gone, N. Side of backs of 'Duke of Athol's House', 6 Durie Lane, where he lodged early on - house 'lent' to him by the lady owner* R. dis. 13 New Bond St. Partly demolished, 15, next door still intact, but next to go. The roof of No. 6, with magnifier, is suggestive of many years of slating and re-slating. 'vintages' - compared with the front roof which is regular/even, and evidently dated from the period. *No. It would seem to have belonged to him'.
