Scope & Content: A manuscript letter from John Anstis [the Younger], asking Alexander Brodie to approach the Duke of Atholl on his behalf and offer his services to the Duke regarding the arms to be used on the seal of the Isle of Man; Anstis goes on to state that he knows where there is a deed containing an ancient seal for the island, and makes mention of the isle's triskelion and where a description of the ancient crown of the Isle of Man may be found.
