Scope & Content: View of the Villiers Hotel, The Grand Hotel and the Jubilee Clock. A horse drinks from the trough on the side of the cast iron clock which was manufactured by Walter McFarlane & Co at the Saracan Foundry in Glasgow in 1887.

As far as is known McFarlanes only made one other Jubilee Clock and that was not until 1902 for the town of Rotherham in Yorkshire.
