Queen's Pier, Ramsey, Isle of Man

Scope & Content: The much needed landing pier was under erection by the Harbour Commissioners from January 1882 until 22 July 1886, the day of the grand opening by Bishop Rowley Hill. The 'Queen's Low Water Landing Pier' was designed by Sir John Coode and was 2,160 feet in length. In 1906, a record 36,000 passengers used the pier.
The pier has been closed to the public for many years.
