Alfred Hudson at his Loom, Ballafesson, Isle of Man

Scope & Content: Alfred Hudson was known locally as 'Hudgeon y fidder', Manx for 'Hudson the weaver'. He was the last weaver in the parish of Rushen and indeed the last of many generations of weavers in his own family. In 1939 his loom was moved to Cregneash and placed on permanent show in the weaving shed.
