Laxey Wheel rocker beam, Laxey, Isle of Man

Scope & Content: View of the arched support for the rocker beam. The leat runs parallel to the arcading. Part way along the leat is a sluice or overflow which allows the water to drop down under the arches and rejoin the river on the other side.
Laxey Wheel is preserved and protected by Manx National Heritage and is one of the most visited sites on the Island.
