Scope & Content: Major Stenning (better known as Canon Stenning) and Archdeacon Kewley with the boys from the Officers Training Corps. The occasion is Tynwald Day and Archdeacon Kewley appears to have a sprig of Mugwort (Bollan Bane) in his hat.

Canon Stenning was a Second-Lieutenant when the corps was founded in 1911. The College Corps was the only armed force on the Island during peace times and was therefore used for ceremonial duties such as here shown at Tynwald Day.
