Scope & Content: Located opposite Belmont Terrace, the Brown Bobby has been the site of a petrol filling station since 1938. An long standing inn was mentioned in 1853 but had ceased trading by 1863 according to Slack's Book "Street of Douglas: Old and New", (1996).
