Scope & Content: Handwriten and corrected typescript copies of 72 page long text of lecture concerning early Methodist preachers including Robert Aitken. The author mentions John Martin, John Crook, Will Quiggin, John Wesley but particularly Robert Aitken who waa born in 1800 in Scotland and was educated at Jedbrough Abbey and Edinburgh University. His first wife was Miss Eyre. His son was Rev W Hay Aitken who wrote about his father in the Manx Methodist Record in December 1893.
