'Tour through the Isle of Man in July 1815 illustrated with views copied from original drawings made by Captain Latham 1st RLM by S.D. Swarbreck'

Scope & Content: Detailed, Illustrated account of a visit taken, full of observations and anecdotes about places and people. Includes mention of staying at the British Hotel, Douglas (p17) and breakfasting at the George Inn, Castletown (p33). The twenty two watercolours and nineteen pen and ink drawings include a cottage scene at the Sulby Claddaghs (p99), a shoreline lighthouse (p100), Hango Hill (p53), Manx crosses and scenes and structures within the major towns.
The Swarbreck version is a more formal adaptation of a version at MS 05531 and lacks a number of illustrations, though it has some otheres.
