Scope & Content: Sets out the testimony of John Watterson ('Fishworker):
'John Watterson of Port St Mary Fishworker states that about 2pm of the 27th he heard of the Brig Lily and in abt 1/2 an hour after he and several others went to the Sound when they arrived about 1/4 past 3 she was then a totalwreck and would not be approached from the main land and he remained and saw the lxxxx/?Crew taken off Kitterland at abt 1/4 past 4 - he left and arrived about 7AM on the 28th on his way a man called to him that he was too late for that a bout xxxx been at her in the mingth and that a Light had been seen on Kitterland when he arrived he saw the boat which had taken the men employed over moored in the sound at 1/4 to 8 he was on the rocks of the main land when the explosion took place his hat was knocked off a man who was standing by him and he himself dropped down to save themselves he got under the shelter of shelving rock which saved him from the falling fragments'.
