Scope & Content: Illustrated antiquarian notes written by Dr John Bradbury about Manx antiquities including shieling mounds, archaeological sites and other features. Organised alphabetically by parish with index at rear. On page 22 Bradbury mentions reading a paper to the Isle of Man Natural History and Antiquarian Society in Castletown on 7 February 1889 (subsequently published in Yn Lioar Manninagh Vol 1, pt 11 pp49-55 with the title 'The Cairn, Gretch Veg').

Illustrations include ink drawings of oak canoe and its location (pp173-175), runic inscriptions (pp109, 217-220 etc), Calf of Man cross slab, Rushen (p282).

Includes some looseleaf inserts.
