Beginning of Edward Forbes's 'Journal in Norge', 1833

Scope & Content: The journal commences 27 May 1833 'sailed from Ramsey wind NW'. The extract mentions flora and fauna and his activities on the first day of his voyage. It includes some doodles of moluscs. On the back there is a note that the original journal is in Edinburgh University Library. Dc.6.91, presented by Professor J.C. Ewart 1915. There is also a negative of a letter to Dr Johnston written from Greeba in 1843.
