Scope & Content: Tree showing the descent of George Primrose Taubman (b.1889) of Long Beach, California, from the Taubmans of the Bowling Green, Castletown. This simple tree bears very few dates and plots two branches of the family. John Taubman MHK and Ellen Whetstone of Ballawhetstone married and had two sons- John and Thomas plus three other children. The decendents of these two sons is plotted out.
John Taubman married Margaret Christian, daughter of Captain James Christian of Ramsey who was a brother to Deemster Christian. John and Margaret's son- also John, married Dorothy Christian of Milntown. Their daughter Isabella Christian Taubman married Major General Alexander John Goldie and three more generations follow.
The second branch is of Thomas Taubman who married Elizabeth Norris daughter of Deemster Norris of Ballanorris. Their son, John, married Mabel Cubbon of Ballacubbon, Arbory. Their son John married Margaret Moore daughter of Thomas Moore of Billown. Their son, Thomas married Ann Nelson (or Kneale). Three more generations follow ending with the author of the tree
