Scope & Content: Letters, notebooks, newscuttings relating to the memorial tablet erected on the house in Auckland Terrace, Ramsey where Philip Kermode was born in 1855. The tablet lettering was cut by Thomas Quayle and Son and designed by William Cubbon. Includes newspaper articles relating to the memorial which include biographical details; notebooks with details of Sub Committee minutes and details of subscribers; lists of those invited to unveiling ceremony and afternoon tea; correspondence; statement of receipts and expenditure; invitation for unveiling and outline of the 'form of ceremony'.
