Scope & Content: The contents of this folder include a rough family tree showing the ancestors of Thomas Martin who left Raby Beg for America in 1828. Some rough notes on Martin. Also in the file are 3 copy baptism certificates for Martin children from 1736, 1760,1764, and 1779. There are brief rough notes on the Quirks of Threljea or Treljah and the oweners of Raby Beg (Radcliffe and then Martin)

A family tree for the Mylchreest family dated 1948 of 8 pages shows decendants of Samuel Mylchreest and Mary Kelly, William Mylchreest (1842-1922) and Ann Senogles (1850-1926), Phillip Crellin and Jane Mylcheest (1846-1917), James Mylchreest and Katherine Crane and later Maria Bentley, Catherine Jemima Mylchreest and Johyn Craine, Robert Mylchreest and Mary Jennie McQuinn and Richard Mylchreest who married Maggie Lawson and the Eva Dingwall. Also in the file are 3 copy baptism certificates for Martin children from 1736, 1760,1764, and 1779.

An envelope within the file has rough notes and rough trees of the Callister family commencing with William Callister of Ballanass, Lower Foxdale who married Ann Quine of Raby Beg, Patrick sometime in 1830.

Correspondance from relatives in America (cousin Suzie, Verginia Blore) accompany genealogical information on Shimmins for example John Shimmin of Eary Vooar who married Ester Killip. An envelope marked Shimmin has an unsigned letter. There are also letters from the Reverend Kenneth D Martin of Kenosha, Winconsin and Mrs Ede of Spokane, A.W. Teare of Grianagh, Albany Road, Peel and John Clucas Radcliffe of 'Holeyn', Tynwald Road, Peel


Contained is the maternal family tree for Marshall Cubbon ex-director of the Manx Museum. There are rough notes from a borrowed diary on the Grenaby Bachelor's Ball held on 13 February 1884
