A note states that their grandfather was Joseph Kelly, baptised at Ballasalla in June 1854 and who was a mine worker at Laxey. The author may be Francis Henry Kelly as he states his father was Robert Stephen Kelly (born 24th June 1882 to parents Joseph and Elizabeth nee Cannell) and siblings were Robert Benjamin and Joyce Isabel.
Also mentioned are aunts and uncles listed as being born as follows: John Joseph (18.12.1876), Elizabeth Jane (02.05.1878), Anne Amelia (24.06.1881), Mary Clara (24.12.1884), Laura Isabella (20.12.1886-08.04.1895), William James (20.04.1889), Benjamin Alva (20.02.1892-02.09.1918), Margaret Flossie (01.09.1894) and Eliza Edith (02.03.3.1898). Joseph (1854-1923) is alleged to have lost the use of an arm and Aunt Edie reports- 'a man was sent with him down the hillside. The injury was so gory that his helper passed out and he arrived at theb bottom carrying this man over his good shoulder'
