Scope & Content: Contents comprise three Permanent Station record logbooks spanning 1924-1936, 1940-1956 and 1957-1977; a Coast Guard service manual, 1960 and a force of wind table, circa 1900.
The format and content of the logbooks evolve overtime, the last volume recording details of personnel, buildings, land and sites, particulars of the station, watch keeping arrangements, station map, life saving apparatus, lifeboats, contact details for appropriate naval, air and authorities, the receiver of wrecks, cutoms and coast preventive men and fishery officers; also communications, station patrols, coast erosion, casualties and wreck services, commendations and awards (note, loose leaf letters of thanks are inserted here), inspections, details of Coast live saving corps (LSA Men) and drill attendance, supplementary watchers' details and refresher training attendance, list of honorary members and members attached to the station and Coast Life Saving Corps long service medal holders.
