Scope & Content: Typescript account of the history of the company covers initial exploration 1891-1902), incorporation, construction, production, transportation, contraction and liquidation of the company as well as a list of employees (page 38), sources and quotations and plates (39 pages).
Accompanying plate illustrations include drawings, plans and photocopies of photographs (24 items). The folder also contains an orange envelope marked with the firm's name.
Administration / Biographical History: This salt manufacturing company was operational from 1902 until 1956. Its final winding up was due in part to its method of production by open pan evaporation being superseded by a new and cheaper vacuum process. It operated a pipe that ran from the Point of Ayre to works on the Ramsey shipyard/gasworks site.
