Photocopy of the diary of Emily Kenyon nee Gill

Scope & Content: The initial entry reads: 'I meant when I married to keep a Diary, or rather, to put down all events which would be of interest to me to look back up on in later life, but like many another good resolution I fell to the ground, & now have more than a year unrecorded ...' . This is an account of a vicar's wife in Yorkshire, bringing up her children while supporting her husband's work in the parish.

Administration / Biographical History: Emily Kenyon nee Gill (1871-1958) was the daughter of Hugh Stowell Gill of Andreas. She married Reverend Thomas Kenyon (1876-1963) on 30 April 1907.
