Thomas Kneale and his family - group portrait

Scope & Content: The Kneale family of Ballalhen Farm and later of Citten, Bride which is located opposite Curragh Beg Farm on the Regaby to Bride road near Dog Mills.
In the 1881 census Thomas is aged 57 and farming 6 acres at Orry's Mount Road. Ann his wife is 54 years old and the children are listed as Charles (21), Elizabeth (19), Philip(13), Alfred (11) and Arthur (8).

Three of those pictured are said to have joined the police (or harbour police) - one family member moved to Vancouver and started a lumber yard.
