Scope & Content: Glass plate marked 'Mr Miesen 3748' which corresponds to 3748 Wilhelm Miesen in the Douglas Camp daybook. He is on the right in this image (from comparison with others in this series).
He appears on the ICRC website as Wilhelm Carl Miesen, Red Cross information bureau number 40408. He appears first on a list of prisoners dated 31/7/1915, listed at Knockaloe. He was aged 46. Home address given as 1 Burbage Road, Herne Hill, London SE. Born Coblenz Rheinpr. He appears on the 1911 Census as a Drapery Agent, living with his German wife at 52 Park Road Dulwich London SE. They do not appear on the 1921 Census.
