He appears on the ICRC website as Wilhelm Carl Miesen, Red Cross information bureau number 40408. He appears first on a list of prisoners dated 31/7/1915, listed at Knockaloe. He was aged 46. Home address given as 1 Burbage Road, Herne Hill, London SE. Born Coblenz Rheinpr. He appears on the 1911 Census as a Drapery Agent, living with his German wife at 52 Park Road Dulwich London SE. They do not appear on the 1921 Census.
