He appears on the ICRC database as Carl Friedrich Wilhelm Sgonina (there is no record of a prisoner with the spelling as it appears above). His Red Cross information bureau number was 26403. He first appears on a list dated November 1914, next of kin Mrs Sgonina, 24 Clare Street, Cardiff, South Wales. Born: Kray Kr. Essen. Listed at Handforth camp. He was transferred to Alexandra Palace 24/1/1919.
