Date of birth 24/1/00 age 17. NOK: Frau Therese Sarstedt Hamburg Vorsetzen 50. Red Cross information bureau number: 125778. Arrived Knockaloe 15/8/17 previously at Shotley camp. Based on appearance he is likely to be the man on the right in the photo.
Anton Sarstedt born 24 January 1900 Hildesheim, Germany, living at 151 Maejer St, Brooklyn, New York registered for the US draft on 15 Feb 1942. He was working for Schult Realty Co, Broadway, NYC. In the 1940 US Census he is shown as 'Superintendant, Apartment House'. There are serveral records of an Anton Sarstedt of similar age travelling as ship's crew between German ports and New York in the 1920s. (Ancestry.com)
