Scope & Content: The identification of Paul Pabst is based upon the prisoner number 19420 which appears on the glass plate, and comparison with the hospital and repatriation lists which appear on the ICRC website. Red Cross bureau number 20200. He first appears on a list of prisoners in December [?] 1914, on which his age is given as 25, place of birth as Alsbach i/Thuringen. Nationality: German.

He wears a small label badge which appears to be the three legs of Man.
