Scope & Content: Hut plaque reads 'Capt G.W.Bulling'. In the London Gazette of 20 November 1919, Captain G.W.Bulling, of the Protection Companies, Royal Defence Corps announced he had relinquished his commission. He was appointed captain in the gazette of 30 December 1916, thus providing a date frame for the photograph. In a newspaper report of 1921, Captain G.W.Bulling is reported as the manager of a factory in the Preston area.
