Douglas Head Hotel radar training equipment
Date(s): c.1950
Place made: Douglas Head
Scope & Content: On the separate platform there are a couple of 281s, two 277s and two 285s. The 281 is H shaped under the U Shaped Bracket, which is an IFF aerial. The 277 was used for surface and low altitude aircraft search. The 285 looks like a set of oil drums. There is a long drum, a short drum, a space, a short drum and then a long drum. There appear to be two sets on the platform one slightly higher than the other.
