Scope & Content: 'Tilly and the Zeppelins' is a typescript account of the First World War experiences of the author's grandmother, Matilda ('Tilly') Schmidt which touches on the internment at Knockaloe of her father, Friedrich who was interned in Camp III, Compound I of Knockaloe Alien Detention Camp when he wrote the letter to his wife and children on 25 November 1916.
