Scope & Content: The tree begins with the children of John Curleod, Ballaugh (d. pre 1660) and Margaret Kissage (died 1664). John Corlett or Collet was a maniner from Douglas, baptised 12 June 1751. He married Anne (Nancy) Wilks, daughter of James Wilks 15 May 1782. They both died in America - John at Washington in 1812 and Nancy at St Louis in 1839. This couple was parents to Captain James Collett (born 1784) who died at Cape Coast.
